FAQs

Do we need a letter for immigration?

When applying for the Fiance Visa or Prospective Marriage Visa you are required to have a wedding date booked in with a marriage celebrant. We will place a date or date range on the letter which shows a wedding is booked in.

How does the wedding date work if we don’t know when the visa is being approved?

We recommend that a chosen wedding date is at least 6-12 months in advance. Once the visa is approved we can then marry you anytime in the next 9 months. We can also use a date range for the prospective wedding date, for example. From December 1st 2023-March 1st 2024.

Can we get a new letter issued with a different date?

Yes, this is very easy and there is one free date change included in our costs and then just $45 to issue a new letter with a new wedding date.

Do we need a wedding venue yet?

As we do not know when the visa is being approved it is not a requirement that you must book a venue for oyur wedding. We can put the botanic gardens in each city, or you may want the wedding at your home, or church. Just let us know which venue you want or we will choose one for you. This is only for the letter for immigration and is not a booking.

Where are we based?

Our main office is in Melbourne and we have affiliated marriage celebrants Australia wide. We even have access to a wedding chapel in Melbourne for you to hold your wedding.
